We are promoting lead-free conversion, and our products
are compliant with the European RoHS Directive.

Currently, the movement towards lead-free regulation to protect the
environment is spreading worldwide. Renesas Technology Corp. has been swiftly
working on the switchover to lead-free products to respond to this movement.
Fortunately, we can meet all the needs of lead-free products at the moment.

Renesas lead-free products are thus compliant with the European RoHS Directive.
In addition, they have enough heat-resistance to enable mounting using an
Sn-Ag-Cu solder or similar lead-free solder with high melting point. (*2)

| (*2) | Reflow heat-resistance of surface-mount type
packages is peak temperature 260℃ at package surface in principle. Some large
packages may be peak temperature 245℃. However, even in these packages,
terminals can resist a temperature of 260℃, so there is no problem in mounting
by lead-free solder.
